The Co-op, Website Content role at Tire Discounters sits on the Marketing team and partners with the Manager, Web Experience to build, publish, and optimize content on TireDiscounters.com and related properties. You'll bring a passion for UX/UI and web design, clear and compelling writing, and operational excellence in a fast-paced retail environment while collaborating with Creative, Operations, and agency partners. Expect hands-on CMS work, foundational SEO/SEM/CRO practice, accessibility basics, and disciplined QA/governance workflows, plus opportunities to produce short-form video/graphics and supporting copy across digital channels as you learn day-to-day operations inside a modern digital marketing team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Build, publish, and QA website content in modern CMS platforms (e.g., Shopify, WordPress)
- Write, edit, and proof on-brand copy for pages, promos, landing pages, blogs, and social media.
- Execute basic SEO: keyword research and on-page optimization (titles, meta, H-tags, internal links).
- Create/refine lightweight visuals: crop/optimize images; edit short videos and simple graphics (Adobe Creative Cloud).
- Maintain the content calendar, track tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure accuracy, accessibility, and brand consistency.
- Support CRO: document A/B test variants and summarize outcomes.
- Log site changes and monitor results with clear notes and links.
- Collaborate with Creative, Operations, and agency partners to route requests and align priorities.
- Pitch content ideas using search trends, analytics insights, and business goals.
- Assist with related marketing, web, digital, or recruiting projects as needed.
Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of at least one industry-standard CMS (Shopify, WordPress, WebFlow or similar).
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Strong writing/copyediting skills; with portfolio/examples that show clarity, grammar, and tone control.
- Working knowledge of SEO/SEM fundamentals (keyword research, on-page optimization; awareness of paid search/social basics).
- Graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Cloud, primarily Photoshop and Illustrator. Video editing & 2D animation experience with Premiere/After Effects is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Basic familiarity with HTML/CSS.
- Comfortable using AI tools for brainstorming, outlines, and first-pass drafts; good judgment on when/how to use them.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and follow-through.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Associate program in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 1+ years of relevant digital/social content creation (co-ops, internships, campus media, freelance, or portfolio-equivalent experience).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This role is primarily office-based, utilizing standard office equipment.
- Regular communication through talking and listening is essential.
- Frequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, handling, and lifting/carrying objects up to 25 pounds may be required.
- Occasional travel to store locations may be necessary.
