Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Coating, Painting & Insulation Inspector for ADNOC’s offshore pipeline and piping projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in industrial QA/QC coating systems, with proven experience in inspection, surface preparation, and protective coating applications for offshore environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection and quality control activities for coating, painting, and insulation works on piping and pipeline systems.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and international standards (BGAS / NACE).
- Review surface preparation, coating application, curing, and thickness measurement reports.
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and client representatives for daily inspection activities.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs, and related documentation.
- Supervise coating contractors and verify materials and equipment before use.
- Ensure all work is executed safely and in accordance with ADNOC standards and procedures.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Education:
- 3-year Diploma or 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Certification:
- BGAS Grade 2 or NACE Level 2 (mandatory).
- Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of QA/QC Coating, Painting, and Insulation experience for Diploma holders.
- Minimum 6 years of QA/QC Coating, Painting, and Insulation experience for Degree holders.
- Must have worked on at least 2 major projects, including 1 project in the role of Site Coating/Painting/Insulation Inspector or Pipeline Coating Inspector in an ADNOC Group Project (AGP).
- Specialization (Pipeline):
- Strong knowledge and experience with 3-Layer Polyethylene (3LPE) coating systems.
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory for Pipeline Coating Inspector).
Desired Skills:
- In-depth understanding of coating materials, surface preparation standards (SSPC, ISO, NACE).
- Familiarity with insulation materials and application techniques.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
