SUMMARY
The Code Welder is tasked with the setup and operation of sophisticated welding equipment. This role requires advanced skills to address issues and reduce waste, rework, and downtime while efficiently fixing defective items. The quality of the repair work must be visually acceptable and adhere to stringent quality standards. Additionally, the Code Welder must ensure that all tasks are completed according to specifications. An ideal candidate is a self-driven multi-tasker who applies a robust work ethic to guarantee that all quality levels are achieved. This is a safety sensitive position.
CODE WELDER RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develops intricate details of operational procedures.
- Reviews the final product for completeness and adherence to all quality assurance standards.
- Operates all advanced welding equipment safely.
- Configures, troubleshoots, and performs advanced adjustments on welding machines as necessary to ensure optimal production and quality.
- Engages in improvement planning – revising welding procedures to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Adheres to all safety policies and protocols.
- Regularly clocks into production tasks and maintains production averages at or above the expected benchmarks.
- Effectively coordinates and communicates with all departments.
- Performs other assigned duties.
CODE WELDER QUALIFICATIONS

- **MUST BE ABLE TO PASS AN OPEN ROOT 3G MIG/FLUXCORE FILL IN CAP WELD TEST**
- Minimum 2 years of MIG & Flux Core welding experience required.
- Previous vessel welding experience is a plus.
- Basic safety training is essential.
- Competence in intermediate mathematics and the capability to read a tape measure are required. A test will be conducted during the interview to confirm these skills.
- A strong understanding of volts and amps is necessary, along with the flexibility to make adjustments as required.
- Basic data entry skills are essential for managing maintenance breakdown calls.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work order instructions, weld symbols, and operate the necessary tools for the role.
- Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures – identify defects.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills.

PAY
- Compensation ranges from $26 to $29 per hour, based on experience.
