Position Overview:
The Cold Store Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the receipt, storage, and dispatch of ice cream and frozen products in accordance with the temperature and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming stock at the cold store and verify quantities, condition, and documentation against system records.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of ice cream and frozen products in accordance with temperature and quality standards.
- Process order fulfilment and dispatches based on instructions generated from the ERP system.
- Perform stock reconciliation after each dispatch to ensure system and physical stock accuracy.
- Conduct weekly and monthly inventory counts to maintain stock accuracy.
- Carry out weekly stock optimization, including space utilization, FIFO/FEFO compliance, and segregation of slow-moving or near-expiry items.
- Maintain accurate and real-time stock updates in the ERP system.
- Ensure proper documentation for all receipts, dispatches, and inventory movements.
- Coordinate with and follow up with drivers for timely dispatch, loading confirmation, and documentation handover.
- Report discrepancies, damages, temperature deviations, or operational issues immediately to management.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of cold storage operations and temperature-controlled products
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods
- Good level of the English language both written and spoken
- Well organized and good execution skills
- Basic computer skills for inventory and dispatch records
