Clear Point Therapy is seeking an experienced and attentive Supervising Psychiatrist to provide clinical oversight for our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. This role is primarily administrative and involves chart review, clinical guidance, and approval of Schedule II prescriptions. The ideal candidate is collaborative, reliable, and comfortable providing supervision within a community-focused outpatient practice.

Position Overview

This position does not involve direct patient care. The Supervising Psychiatrist will provide support through scheduled supervision, chart review, and compliance monitoring to ensure safe and effective psychiatric services. Responsibilities include signing off on charts as required, reviewing Schedule II medications, and offering clinical consultation as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in accordance with state regulatory requirements.
  • Review and sign off on a designated percentage of patient charts on a recurring basis.
  • Approve, review, and co-sign Schedule II prescriptions as required by state law.
  • Offer professional guidance on complex clinical cases when consulted.
  • Ensure documentation meets clinical, legal, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all state supervision guidelines, practice protocols, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in scheduled supervision meetings (virtual or in-person).
  • Support quality assurance efforts related to medication management and safe prescribing practices.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with active, unrestricted license to practice Psychiatry in the state of Georgia.
  • Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry (preferred).
  • Experience supervising advanced practice providers (NPs or PAs) strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of psychopharmacology and outpatient psychiatric care.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
