Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Billing & Collections Specialist to join our healthcare revenue cycle team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate insurance claims, handling patient billing, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring timely reimbursements. This role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, insurance companies, and internal staff. The specialist will play a key part in maintaining efficient billing operations and supporting healthy cash flow for the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesMedical Billing

• Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims and patient invoices within required timelines.
• Review claims for accuracy, correct coding, and compliance with payer and regulatory standards.
• Maintain organized and updated billing records within the practice management system.
• Process payment postings, adjustments, and credit memos with accuracy.
• Regularly verify and update patient demographics and insurance details.
• Generate monthly billing statements and customized Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) reports.
• Assist the accounting team with reconciliations and month-end financial reporting.
• Identify workflow gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen billing accuracy and efficiency.

Collections

• Conduct proactive follow-ups on unpaid insurance claims and patient balances to ensure prompt reimbursement.
• Monitor and manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) aging reports with focus on overdue accounts.
• Communicate with insurance payers to resolve claim delays, denials, and underpayments.
• Handle patient billing inquiries professionally and arrange payment plans when needed.
• Collaborate with billing and patient services teams to resolve complex collection cases.
• Accurately document all collection efforts, communications, and follow-up activities in the system.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs45,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
