Collections Associate-Medical Billing

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Medical Billing & Collections Specialist to join our healthcare revenue cycle team. This role involves preparing precise insurance claims, managing patient billing, overseeing accounts receivable, and ensuring timely reimbursement from payers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with patients, insurance providers, and internal staff. By supporting accurate billing and efficient collections, this specialist will help maintain smooth financial operations and optimize cash flow.

Key ResponsibilitiesMedical Billing

• Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims and patient invoices on time.
• Review claims for accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with payer and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records within the practice management system.
• Process payments, adjustments, and credit memos accurately.
• Regularly update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Generate monthly billing statements and tailored Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) reports.
• Assist the accounting team with reconciliations and month-end reporting.
• Identify process gaps and suggest workflow improvements to enhance billing accuracy and efficiency.

Collections

• Proactively follow up on unpaid insurance claims and patient balances to ensure timely payments.
• Monitor and manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) aging reports, prioritizing overdue accounts.
• Communicate with insurance payers to resolve delays, underpayments, or claim denials.
• Address patient billing inquiries professionally and arrange payment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with billing and patient services teams to resolve complex collection cases.
• Maintain detailed records of all collection activities, communications, and follow-ups in the system.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs45,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
