Job Summary

The Collections Reporting Analyst is responsible for analyzing business needs and developing effective reporting solutions to support collections operations. This role focuses on designing, maintaining, and optimizing reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering actionable insights that drive decision-making. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with technical expertise to improve reporting processes and data visibility.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze the purpose and content of business reports to develop new reports or enhance existing formats for improved usability and control
  • Evaluate report structures, including origin, workflow, format, frequency, distribution, and overall function
  • Collaborate with stakeholders involved in report creation and usage to identify issues and gather improvement recommendations
  • Assess findings using knowledge of workflows, operational practices, and records retention requirements
  • Recommend and implement new or improved reporting methods and procedures to enhance data quality, completeness, and accessibility
  • Develop and maintain automated reporting solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Create and distribute documentation and guidelines for report generation, completion, and distribution aligned with reporting standards
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Onsite/Hybrid Work model

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in report development, data analysis, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Sigma)
  • Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries
  • Experience with Python or R for data manipulation and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
  • Experience developing and automating reports
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with collections or account-level financial data
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience using Power Query or similar data transformation tools
  • Additional experience with SQL database environments
