  • The student needs to work with a tutor for support for MAC 2312: Calculus 2 with Analytic Geometry course.
  • The student is getting tutoring funded by a local agency which requires the tutor to have at least a bachelor's degree in mathematics.
  • The student is an adult attending Eastern Florida State College and taking Calculus 2. The course starts on 5/18 and ends 8/7.
  • The student was a homeschool student and he tends to grasp concepts more effectively when they are presented visually. He has ADD, Inattentive Type, and he is easily distracted. He is seeking a tutor who can present Calculus II concepts in a clear, visual, and engaging manner that supports his learning style and helps maintain his focus and understanding.
  • The student's goal is to develop a strong understanding of the material covered in his Calculus II course in order to successfully complete the class and graduate with his AA degree.
  • The student is asking for 1-2 hour sessions 2-3 times a week, between 11am-8pm, any day Monday through Friday.
  • The student is seeking a tutor who can meet at his home in Palm Bay in-between Inspiration Park and Southwest Middle School.

Course Description: MAC 2312 Calculus 2 with Analytic Geometry
The course includes a study of techniques of integration, selected topics in analytic geometry, polar coordinates, sequences and series, parametric equations, indeterminate forms, and application of the definite integral. The course is the second of a three course sequence. Course meets General Education and College Level Mathematics Skills requirements.

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidates have prior experience working with college students.
  • Ideal candidates will have prior experience tutoring or teaching math.
  • Ideal tutors will have at least a bachelors degree in mathematics.
  • Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
  • Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.

Student Availability

MON-FRI: 11:00am-9:00pm

Pay & Benefits

  • $26.00-$32.00 per hour
