Summary

Salt River Project (SRP), the nation’s third-largest public power electric utility and central Arizona’s largest supplier of raw water, is seeking a motivated college student to join its Telecommunication Systems department. This internship offers hands-on experience in a professional utility environment while working alongside skilled technical teams.

The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 40 hours per week maximum.

Create compatible unit estimates within WAM Maximo for Telecom Systems personnel
Perform job closings within WAM Maximo for Telecom Systems personnel
Process asset updates within WAM Maximo for Telecom Systems personnel
Support Telecom Systems personnel as needed

Education

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

Experience

Must have experience with: Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word

Additional Requirements and Qualifications

Must be able to work in a team setting.
Must exhibit excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week.

College level coursework (100 or higher) from an accredited institution is preferred. Management will evaluate college-level coursework individually to determine if it is applicable to the position and relevant to the required skills. Knowledge such as accounting, general administrative principles, communications, marketing, personnel, finance, training, business and other non-scientific fields.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
