The Opportunity:
The Research Study Coordinator will provide technical and organizational support for one or more research projects within the PRISM team. The position will manage participant recruitment and retention, intervention delivery, coordinate file management and budgeting activities, and day-to-day study oversight.

This position will support a research study funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) called Virtual Incentive Treatment for Alcohol (VITA). This position will conduct the following tasks:

  • Coordinate day-to-day implementation of all human subjects study procedures
  • Recruit and screen new participants for the study
  • Manage scheduling participant visits
  • Maintain and organize project files and participants’ documents
  • Perform data collection entry and data quality checks on REDCap and Excel
  • Organize and manage study material and inventory including the coordination of mailing test kits to all participants.

Required Qualifications:

Research Study Coordinator:
Two years of college level course work in a relevant academic area AND two years of experience as a Research Study Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.

Research Study Assistant:
Two years of college level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience OR equivalent education/experience.

Additional Requirements for both Classifications:

  • Two years of college level course work in biological, psychology, physical, health, social sciences, or related area.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Demonstrated ability with strong written/oral communication and organizational skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and experience in working with people with substance use or mental health disorders.
  • Experience working in a research environment.
  • Excellent proofreading skills, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working with internet applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3,132.00 - $4,771.00 per month
