Collision Shop Bookkeeper

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of our high-volume collision repair shop. This role is critical to ensuring accurate reporting, insurance payment tracking, and smooth day-to-day accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily bookkeeping for collision operations (ROs, parts, labor)
  • Reconcile repair orders (ROs) vs. payments (insurance, customer, warranty)
  • Post and track insurance receivables (DRP & non-DRP)
  • Monitor parts invoices and vendor payables
  • Process payroll support for technicians (flag hours, commissions)
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries
  • Assist with the month-end close and financial reporting
  • Track supplements, write-offs, and gross profit per RO
  • Work with shop manager on cost control and KPI tracking

Qualifications

  • 2+ years bookkeeping experience (collision shop / dealership preferred)
  • Strong understanding of insurance billing & claims process
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, or DMS systems
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle high-volume transactions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
