Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of our high-volume collision repair shop. This role is critical to ensuring accurate reporting, insurance payment tracking, and smooth day-to-day accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping for collision operations (ROs, parts, labor)
- Reconcile repair orders (ROs) vs. payments (insurance, customer, warranty)
- Post and track insurance receivables (DRP & non-DRP)
- Monitor parts invoices and vendor payables
- Process payroll support for technicians (flag hours, commissions)
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries
- Assist with the month-end close and financial reporting
- Track supplements, write-offs, and gross profit per RO
- Work with shop manager on cost control and KPI tracking
Qualifications
- 2+ years bookkeeping experience (collision shop / dealership preferred)
- Strong understanding of insurance billing & claims process
- Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, or DMS systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle high-volume transactions
