Role Overview
The Commercial Advisor to the CEO provides independent, senior-level commercial advice on key initiatives, partnerships, and transactions. The role focuses on assessing whether opportunities are commercially sound, strategically aligned, and value-accretive, supporting informed CEO and executive decision-making. This is a high-trust advisory role that complements existing finance, investment, and commercial teams by providing a second-line commercial lens on deals and strategic proposals.
Key Responsibilities

Review and assess commercial proposals, partnerships, and investment opportunities.

Evaluate deal structures, pricing models, revenue assumptions, and risk-return profiles.

Challenge business cases and commercial assumptions to ensure robustness and realism.

Advise the CEO on the commercial viability and strategic fit of proposed initiatives.

Support negotiations by advising on commercial terms and value protection.

Assess alignment with government, free zone, and economic development objectives.

Coordinate with internal finance, investment, legal, and business teams without duplicating roles.

Provide clear, concise recommendations for executive and board-level decisions.
Required Experience & Profile

10+ years of experience in commercial advisory, strategy, investment, or deal-related roles.

Prior experience within a government ministry, public sector entity, or free zone authority is required.

Strong commercial judgment with the ability to assess complex deals quickly and objectively.

Experience advising senior leadership or C-suite stakeholders.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
