Commercial Analyst (Contracts / Manufacturing)

Position Overview
Southeastern Construction and Dixie Southern are seeking a Commercial Analyst to support the commercial and contractual aspects of our manufacturing / fabrication projects.

This role is intended for someone who has the capability and drive to take on more responsibility than their current title or opportunity allows.

This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the desire to grow into increased responsibility. Formal degrees and traditional career paths are not required. What matters most is the ability to learn quickly, think critically, take ownership of high-quality work, and operate effectively within a team environment where feedback and coaching are part of the process.

The Commercial Analyst works closely with leadership, estimating, project management, and finance to ensure contracts are commercially sound, proposal requirements are met, and contractual information is clearly documented and communicated.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Award / Bid Support

· Review customer bid packages and instructions

· Identify commercial and administrative requirements for proposal submittal

· Organize and compile required documents into a complete, compliant proposal package

· Complete customer bid forms and other non-technical proposal sections

· Assist with reviewing contracts and identifying unfavorable or unusual terms

· Help prepare contract redlines, exceptions, and clarifications for leadership review

Contract Award & Administration

· Support commercial negotiations under leadership direction

· Track agreed contract terms, revisions, and concessions

· Help ensure executed contracts accurately reflect negotiated positions

· Maintain organized contract files and documentation

Post-Award Support

· Assist with contract handoff to project management and finance

· Help interpret contract language and respond to contractual questions from project teams

· Support ongoing contract administration as projects progress

· It is not project management or field supervision

· It is not billing, accounting, or collections

Qualifications (Non-Traditional Candidates Encouraged)

· Experience in contracts, administration, documentation, operations, purchasing, project support, or similar work, or demonstrated ability to learn complex information quickly

· Formal degree not required

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· High attention to detail and follow-through

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
