Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Commercial and Operations Manager to serve as a core pillar of our marine products business. This is a hybrid commercial “hunter” and operational “integrator” role, designed for a professional who can aggressively drive new business while ensuring flawless operational execution.
The role owns the full commercial lifecycle—from identifying and securing new shipowners, operators, and contractors to managing the quote-to-cash process, logistics coordination, and delivery execution. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who understands both commercial strategy and marine operational realities.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Business Growth
- Proactively identify, pursue, and onboard new customers including shipowners, vessel operators, shipyards, EPC contractors, and offshore service providers
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline aligned with revenue and margin targets
- Lead commercial negotiations for high-value contracts, equipment supply, and long-term supply agreements
- Prepare and manage quotations, pricing strategies, and commercial proposals
Sales Execution & Account Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and strategic customers
- Build long-term customer relationships focused on trust, reliability, and repeat business
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and service expansion
Operations & Logistics Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day operations including inventory planning, supplier coordination, logistics, and order fulfillment
- Ensure On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery to vessels, shipyards, and project sites
- Coordinate closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution
Strategic & Process Leadership
- Monitor regional marine market trends, including new port developments, fleet expansion, and alternative fuel initiatives
- Implement KPIs, reporting dashboards, and standardized workflows to improve efficiency and reduce cost-to-serve
- Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks and profit leakage
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- New customer acquisition and conversion rate
- Annual revenue growth and gross margin improvement
- OTIF delivery performance and order cycle time
- Customer retention and satisfaction levels
Requirements
Experience
- 7–10 years of proven experience in a commercial, business development, or operations role within the UAE marine sector
- Strong exposure to marine equipment, ship supply, logistics, or offshore services
Education
- Engineering degree (Marine, Mechanical, Electrical) or
- Bachelor’s in Maritime Business, Logistics, or MBA (preferred)
Network
- Existing and active network with shipowners, fleet managers, shipyards, port authorities, or maritime contractors in the UAE/GCC
Skills
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Commercial acumen with cost and margin awareness
- Operational understanding of marine supply chains and logistics
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Advanced Excel
- Clear communication and stakeholder management abilities
