Key Qualifications & Experience
Education & Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Commercial Management, or Business Administration.

Master’s degree (MBA or MSc in Construction/Project Management) is highly desirable.

Professional certifications (highly preferred):
-
MRICS / FRICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)

MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Building)
-
Chartered Quantity Surveyor (CQS) or equivalent
-
PMP or equivalent project management certification (advantageous)
Experience:
-
12–20+ years of progressive experience in commercial management within large construction, infrastructure, or EPC organizations.

Demonstrated success managing high-value projects (USD 50M+ / QAR 200M+).

Experience across both pre-contract and post-contract phases.

Strong preference for candidates with GCC experience (Qatar, KSA, UAE).
Core Commercial Expertise:

Contract administration (FIDIC Red, Yellow, and Silver Books).

Claims management, variations, extensions of time, and dispute resolution.
-
Cost control, cash-flow forecasting, cost value reconciliations (CVRs), and financial reporting.

Procurement strategy development, subcontractor negotiation, and contract awards.

Risk identification, mitigation, and implementation of commercial governance.

Value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
