Commercial Cleaner / Janitorial Technician – Evening Hours

Job Summary

Sumac Cleaning & Maintenance is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Commercial Cleaner to join our team. This position starts as part-time, with the opportunity to transition into full-time employment for the right candidate.

Our cleaners often work independently in professional office and commercial environments, so reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential.

In this vital role, you'll be the backbone of maintaining pristine, safe, and welcoming environments across various commercial facilities. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that every space you service reflects our commitment to cleanliness and professionalism.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in commercial cleaning, floor care, and facilities maintenance while working during flexible evening hours that fit your schedule.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming carpets, rugs, and entry areas
• Sweeping and mopping hard floors
• Emptying trash and replacing liners
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms (toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors)
• Restocking restroom supplies
• Dusting surfaces and fixtures (high and low dusting)
• Wiping down tables, counters, and work surfaces
• Cleaning glass doors and entryways
• Maintaining lobbies, hallways, conference rooms, and office spaces
• Spot cleaning walls and high-touch surfaces

Requirements

• Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and stay on task
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Must be able to pass a background check and work independently in secured commercial buildings

Schedule

• Part-time, flexible evening schedule
• 5 days per week, approximately 4 hours per shift
• 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• 9:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• Opportunity to transition into full-time hours as the company grows

Pay

Starting at $18 an hour
