Commercial Cleaning Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness in both commercial and residential settings. Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across multiple areas
• Handle custodial tasks for both commercial and residential spaces, ensuring all areas are hygienic and presentable
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and other designated spaces
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management
• Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
• Support facilities maintenance activities as needed, including painting or other custodial projects

Qualifications

• Proven experience in janitorial work or custodial services preferred; experience in floor care, industrial cleaning, or facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures and equipment operation (e.g., buffers, vacuums)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks which may include lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery
• Reliable work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Previous porter or maintenance experience is a plus but not required
