Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial construction environments, including low and high voltage applications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical schematics to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical installations on construction sites.
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and contractors to coordinate installation schedules and ensure project milestones are met.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and schematic updates.
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a solid understanding of construction site procedures.
- Strong knowledge of NEC standards, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics reading.
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks and working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment safely.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical schematics for complex electrical systems.
- Experience in renovation projects involving framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently on-site.
