Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Commercial Manager (Civil Engineer) to oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost control, contract administration, budgeting, procurement coordination, and maximizing project profitability while ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial activities related to construction projects.
• Review, negotiate, and administer contracts, subcontract agreements, and variations.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Prepare cost estimates, cash flow forecasts, and commercial reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
• Evaluate claims, variations, and payment certificates.
• Ensure proper procurement and material cost control.
• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support tendering, bidding, and contract negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, including commercial management roles.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and construction commercial practices.
• Excellent understanding of project costing, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction/commercial management software.
• PMP or MRICS certification is an advantage.
