Commercial Driver's License Driver

Job Overview
Port work and over the road work available. Class A. Port experience and 2 years minimum CDL. Part time to Full time. Daily Minimum pay $300 for work over 4 hours per day. .60 per mile over the road.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, containers, dry vans.
• Drive in compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations, including hours of service rules.
• Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules while adhering to safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports for compliance purposes.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across diverse routes.
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and handling various trailer types such as refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks.
• Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while ensuring proper securing techniques.
• Experience with route planning and navigation tools for timely deliveries.
• Familiarity with forklift operation for cargo handling when required.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued.
