Commercial Engineer

Job Description

• Simultaneously manage the claims and variation orders of multiple projects.
• Create BOQs, breakdown structures, and quantity surveying schedules for Variation Orders.
• Negotiate Variation Orders with clients to ensure the client satisfaction while maintaining the Contractor's profitability.
• Track the updated contract price taking into account each approved VO and/or Claim.
• Routinely update & track Earned Value logs, turnover logs as well as Payment Logs for accurate measurement of project progress and financials.
• Create & Manage a Claims log to track the Claims of all projects.
• Handle correspondences with the Engineer and/or Employer.
• Track changes to the design or construction work and adjusts budget projections accordingly.
• Communicate projects’ progress & problems / risks / concerns to senior management.

Job Requirements

• BA. of Civil / Arch. / Construction management.
• 3 – 7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Good communications skills.
• Previous experience as a site-based.
