Commercial Furniture Designer

Position Reporting To: President

Summary:
A designer with significant commercial interior design experience who creates environments that enhance organizational performance and achieve client business objectives. Has the ability to lead and inspire the Sales and Design team, as well as clients and other stakeholders. Team player who collaborates closely with the NewSpace Team, and plays a leadership role in the prioritization and execution of design through all phases.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide Sales Team with high-quality design, proposal support, and project management for commercial furniture, architectural walls and custom casework.
• Full comprehension of multiple manufacturing lines in order to champion design excellence throughout the organization.
• Develop and lead commercial design process, workload and prioritization.
• Improve organizational efficiency by collaborating closely with Sales Team, Clients,

Project Coordinator, and Manufacturing.

• Participate in the pursuit of new client relationships and projects, selling the company’s ability to produce and manage design projects.
• Work with NewSpace leadership to make strategic decisions related to process improvements, projects and pursuits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills/Competencies:

Highly motivated with inspiring leadership qualities and collaborative disposition.

Experience presenting to and working directly with clients.

Strong experience with 3D modeling/specification software (AutoCAD/CET/Project Spec).

Experience with presentation software (Sketch-up, Photoshop, PowerPoint and Illustrator).

Attention to Detail, Excellent Communicator, Problem Solver, and Multi-tasker.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,900.00 - $75,800.00 per year
