Role Objectives

As a Commercial Head, you will set category strategy, manage revenue and profitability, and ensure product availability. You'll leverage customer insights, collaborate with marketing teams, and address product issues with Sourcing, Procurement, QA, and Ops.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee category revenue and profitability, managing end-to-end performance and growth.
  • Define the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for the category.
  • Leverage customer insights to develop strategies that meet the needs of various customer segments, engaging through multiple channels as necessary.
  • Design and manage pricing and promotional strategies to drive trials and foster sustainable customer retention.
  • Forecast and track category sales and key performance indicators (KPIs), sharing performance updates with cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities and address challenges.
  • Collaborate with supply and demand teams to forecast new product volumes and ensure consistent product availability.
  • Work with marketing teams to support new product launches and ongoing category campaigns.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings, conducting research and gathering insights to inform category strategy and decision-making.
  • Partner with Sourcing, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Operations to address product-related issues, manage excess inventory, and resolve shortages in a timely manner.



Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • 6+ years of experience in category management, product management, or a similar role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong expertise in managing category revenue, profitability, and performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies, including product roadmaps and pricing plans.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret customer insights, sales data, and KPIs to drive informed decisions.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategies, including campaign development for new product launches and ongoing promotions.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, CRM platforms, and advanced Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
