Commercial HVAC Technician

RdRc Mechanical Services was established in 1990, we provide installation, service and preventative maintenance of commercial equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, automation, chillers, etc. At RdRc your roll is essential for maintaining our high level of customer satisfaction and your hard work will be appreciated.

Qualifications:

• No specific level of education is required
• EPA Certified
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
• 3+ years experience in commercial HVAC systems is preferred
• Ability to read and write English for safety and productivity reasons
• Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for both commercial and residential customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems.
• Work with dispatch while traveling to job sites to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.
• Ability to work on-call nights and weekends when assigned.
• Maintain proper parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle and keep company vehicle maintained on company time.
• Must be able to operate hand tools, power tools, meters, rigging equipment, torches, etc. in order to perform service on units.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, plans, blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and procedures and complying with all legal regulations.
• Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is at hand.
• Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
• Maintain accurate time records and job tickets and send to office manager on a timely basis when required.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate the issue at hand to the customer effectively.
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items with additional man power or appropriate devices.
• Ability to climb and work from 8ft ladder, climb extension ladders and building ladder access, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk and twist in order to perform job effectively.

Pay: $23.00 - $45.00 per hour
