Commercial Insurance Sales Representative(Salary Plus Commission)

Business Development & Sales

  • Prospect, identify, and develop new commercial insurance clients through referrals, networking, outreach campaigns, and community engagement.
  • Conduct needs assessments to evaluate client risks and recommend appropriate insurance products (e.g., property, liability, workers' compensation, professional liability, cyber, commercial auto).
  • Prepare and present customized proposals that align with client needs and industry best practices.
  • Meet or exceed established sales goals and activity targets

Technical & Administrative

  • Gather underwriting information from clients and ensure accuracy in applications and submissions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, carrier appetite, market conditions, and regulatory developments.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, client records, and pipeline tracking within the agency management system
  • Support retention strategies by preparing renewal reviews and coverage recommendations.

Qualifications Required

  • 2–5 years of experience in commercial insurance sales, account management, or a strong sales background.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain trusted client relationships.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with agency management systems
  • Proven track record of meeting sales goals in a competitive market.
