Commercial Interior Designer

Job Summary
We are a commercial furniture company seeking a dynamic and innovative Commercial Interior Designer to elevate our clients' spaces through creative vision and meticulous planning. You must be profiecent with commercial contract furniture.

In this role, you will transform commercial environments by blending functionality with aesthetic appeal, ensuring each project reflects the client’s brand identity and operational needs. Your expertise will drive the design process from concept to completion, delivering inspiring, practical, and cost-effective interior solutions that make a lasting impression. Duties

• Develop comprehensive interior design concepts tailored to commercial clients’ objectives, brand identity, and budget constraints.
• Create detailed drawings and 3D visualizations using SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), and 3ds Max to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Prepare technical documentation including construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents utilizing Bluebeam and CAD software.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, lighting specialists, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution from renovation to construction phases.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, lighting fixtures, and furnishings by applying color theory and lighting design principles to enhance space ambiance.
• Conduct site visits for inspections during remodeling or renovation projects to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and contracts efficiently while maintaining clear communication with clients and team members.
• Assist in sales efforts by presenting design proposals confidently and providing expert guidance on lighting sales and interior solutions.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Commercial Interior Designer or similar role within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and InDesign), Bluebeam, and other drafting or visualization tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge of interior design principles including space planning, color theory, lighting design, and material selection.
• Familiarity with construction processes, remodeling projects, contracts management, budgeting strategies, and project management methodologies.
• Experience working on diverse commercial projects such as offices, retail stores, hospitality venues or corporate environments.
• Ability to interpret client needs into innovative design solutions while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success. Pay: $53,830.85 - $64,828.55 per year
