About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Journeyman Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in professional and large-scale environments, including office buildings, retail centers, and other commercial properties. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes within set timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, and patching holes or cracks.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other surfaces.
• Safely operate and maintain painting equipment such as sprayers, rollers, and brushes.
• Mix and match paints to ensure proper color and texture.
• Cover and protect furniture, floors, and fixtures to prevent damage.
• Ensure proper ventilation and follow safety guidelines while handling paints and chemicals.
• Inspect painted areas to ensure even coverage, proper color match, and a professional finish.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and supplies.
• Follow company standards, OSHA guidelines, and building regulations for safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a commercial journeyman painter.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, and tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina to lift, climb ladders, and work in various positions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred

• Experience with spray painting equipment.
• Knowledge of specialty coatings and industrial paints.
• Certification in safety training (OSHA or equivalent).

Pay

· Pay will be based off experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
