Commercial Maintenance Technician

In this role, you will be entrusted with:

Performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and grounds cleanup

Troubleshooting and completing repairs of commercial buildings, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and general carpentry

Responding to service requests in a timely and professional manner

Responsible for being on call and responding to after-hour emergencies

Maintain interior and exterior of buildings, including minor drywall, painting, door hardware, ceiling tile replacement, and sidewalk snow removal as needed

Ensure code compliance and safe working conditions across all properties

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Yardi Management Software

Coordinate with contractors and vendors when outside services are needed

Communicate effectively with team members, tenants, and vendors

Assist with property turnovers, buildouts, and light construction projects

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, trade school, or technical certifications preferred
• Previous experience in commercial maintenance or a similar field
• Strong working knowledge of building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and work orders
• Basic computer literacy and experience with maintenance software systems a plus
• Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required
• EPA Universal Certification and/or HVAC licensing preferred (or willingness to obtain)
