Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Operations Analyst , preferably with exposure to the solar or renewable energy industry . This entry-level role is ideal for a professional with 3+ years experience, strong analytical skills, and a passion for clean energy. This role will bridge strategy, sales operations and enablement, reporting, analytics, and pricing – supporting both internal decision-making and external content delivery.

The Commercial Operations Analyst will support our commercial teams and senior executives by building automated reporting and dashboarding infrastructure, tracking critical sales metrics, handling key sales data, assist in improving pricing and proposal generation processes, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our global sales organization.

You will play a critical role in turning data into insights, and insights into sales tools to inform executive level decision making, all while helping build out scalable, performance-driven sales processes in the utility-scale solar sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and maintenance of new and existing dashboards, sales reports, and high level presentations that flow directly to the C-Suite to enable decision making
  • Lead the calculation, maintenance, and reporting of key sales metrics and enforcement of consistent activity tracking on a weekly basis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement to drive accountability
  • Lead data integrity efforts and policy enforcement by ensuring consistent maintenance and updates to CRM system records (e.g., Salesforce) with key opportunity information and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Sales and Sale Engineering
  • Collaborate with the global sales team and sales leadership to ideate on process improvement, opportunities for automation, and drive Salesforce accuracy.
  • Analyze the global sales pipeline, sales activity, and performance data to support planning, forecasting, and prioritization
  • Help create and execute process automations across quoting, pricing, and proposal development across all stages of the opportunity sales cycle
  • Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures related to commercial operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in engineering, marketing, business, economics, or related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Sales, Business analysis, marketing analytics, strategy, consulting, or engineering
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills; exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools such as Power BI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to distil data into actionable insights and executive-ready materials
  • Strong proficiency and familiarity with using Salesforce CRM, specifically for building reports, dashboards, and for general sales management; understanding of Salesforce general architecture and features/capabilities is an added advantage
  • Experience or understanding of the solar, cleantech, energy, or B2B infrastructure industry is an added advantage
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
