The Commercial Policy Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the Commercial Policy across Fragmented Trade channels (Retail, Wholesalers, Distributors, etc.) in cross-functional environment. The scope covers the following: (a) design, implement and support execution of contractual discounts and (b) continuous improvement of Promo ROI.
The Fragmented Trade Commercial Policy Manager will report directly to the Trade Investment Optimization (TIO) Manager and will be responsible for partnering with Senior leaders and functions heads to develop end-to-end Commercial Policy strategies across Fragmented channels based on RGM principles, including promo strategy. All the actions should be oriented to achieve the following KPI's targets: volume, transactions, NSR per unit case, single serve mix, value share and profitability.
ABOUT YOUR NEW JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Policy Development & Execution:
- Identify and prioritize key value drivers per Fragmented Trade channel and address them through relevant terms and conditions.

Embed performance and conditional buckets (where possible) to optimize conditional discount and improve discount productivity

Coordinate preparation of plans & targets related to Commercial Policy with Sales, Marketing and Finance team

Train Sales and Finance teams in all elements of the Commercial Policy and ensure full understanding of the requirements, accountabilities and targets for their roles
- Monitor, track and report execution of agreed Commercial Policy plans with proposal of actions for their improvements

Continuously explore opportunities to improve Commercial policy end-to-end process & tools
- Closely collaborate with various stakeholders from Group Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Finance & Supply Chain in the process of Commercial policy creation and delivery
Promotions Management:

Develop and execute discount effectiveness methodology (ROI and volume uplift)

Review the discount policy (types, process, approvals, analysis, decisions, etc.)

Ensure the right incentives per channel (promo, investments, margin, campaigns, etc.)

Continuously monitor and evaluate promotional tactics, programs and strategy.
- Analyze promotion performance across brands, products, regions for improvements.
Support consolidation and sharing of best practices regarding promotion pricing (promotional guidelines)
ARE THESE YOUR SECERET INGRIDIENTS

University Degree in business or other discipline (e.g., mathematics, economics, marketing) that requires extensive quantitative knowledge.

+8 years of professional experience preferably in FMCGs, with Familiarity with consumer goods landscape, traders and overall market dynamics: trade marketing, discounts management, marketing, field sales or sales support, and/or finance.

Project Management mindset: ability to lead cross functional teams.
- Communication skills – advanced writing and communication skills, able to interact with and persuade individuals at senior levels.
- Analytical & decision-making Skills – must be able to perform complicated performance and financial analyses and build decision or recommendations based on them.
- Computer skills – familiarity with computers and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Commercial policy & discount policy management experiences are a plus.
