Commercial Property Accountant

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Property Accountant to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of our third-party portfolio of commercial real estate portfolio. Responsibilities

  • General accounting duties, including account reconciliation, debits and credits, and double-entry bookkeeping
  • Review and manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare monthly financial statement and year-end CAM reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Yardi Voyager
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances
  • Collaborate with property managers to review and analyze property financials
  • Assist in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Provide support during the annual budgeting process
  • Display high levels of internal and external customer service by responding to requests from other team members, and clients in a timely manner
  • Review and enter data from leases to Yardi Voyager
  • Collect, review and request insurance documentation from clients and track the expiration of that documentation

Job requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work with computer applications, including Excel, Word & Yardi Voyager and Elevate
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
  • Experience with CAM reconciliations
  • Experience in commercial real estate
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field desired
  • Real estate license in CA, OR and/or WA a plus

This role is a hybrid of in-person and remote work. The successful candidate will be required to work in Mountain View for the first half of the day to collaborate with and support teammates.

Key position for an experienced senior accountant who will report to the President/Owner of a commercial real estate property management firm.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
