Commercial Refrigeration Installer Apprentice

Location: Wake Forest, NC (Travel Required)

Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Installer Helper / Apprentice to join our team. This position will assist lead installers with building walk-in coolers/freezers, running refrigeration line sets, and completing commercial refrigeration installs. This is a hands-on role with a lot of opportunity to learn and grow into a lead installer.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with installation of walk-in coolers and freezers (panel assembly, doors, sealing, etc.)
• Help run refrigeration line sets, insulation, and supports
• Assist with setting evaporators, condensers, and other equipment
• Help with pressure testing, evacuation, and system startup
• Load/unload materials and keep job sites clean and organized
• Follow directions from lead installer and project manager
• Maintain safety standards on all job sites

Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude (construction, HVAC, or refrigeration experience is a plus)
• Willingness to learn and grow in the trade
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to work well on a team

Travel:

• Some jobs require out-of-town travel and overnight stays
• Lodging is provided by the company
• Daily food stipend provided during travel

• Pay based on experience

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
