Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician-6+ Year Experience Required

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems. This role is critical in ensuring our clients’ equipment runs efficiently, safely, and according to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial and residential refrigeration systems
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Recharge refrigerants and ensure EPA compliance
• Replace defective components such as compressors, motors, and thermostats
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Communicate clearly with customers and provide professional recommendations
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• EPA 608 Certification (required)
• Minimum 5+ years of refrigeration or HVAC experience (preferred)
• Journeymen License (preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with walk‑in coolers/freezers
• Knowledge of supermarket refrigeration systems
• Brazing and soldering ability
• Familiarity with HVAC control systems
• Electrical troubleshooting skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs
• Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in tight spaces
• Ability to stand, kneel, or climb for extended periods
