Under general direction, this position's primary responsibility includes all aspects of commercial portfolio risk management as it relates to assigned portfolio loans. Additional responsibilities will include the facilitating of comprehensive credit analysis that evaluates the existing facilities in the commercial loan portfolio. Assist in monitoring existing credit for annual reviews and necessary covenant and reporting requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the preparation of credit underwriting and analysis of existing commercial loans in connection with renewals, modifications, and all aspects of monitoring.
  • Detailed analysis of financial statements
  • Detailed collateral analysis
  • Detailed analysis of debt service and covenant compliance
  • Review of credit risk rating
  • Borrower and Guarantor analysis
  • Assist Commercial Loan Officers and Commercial Credit Administrator in managing past due and maturing loans.
  • Prepares periodic reviews of existing loans to assess credit quality and covenant compliance.
  • Receive and review periodic reporting provided by business members to ensure borrowing base availability as well as to monitor performance.
  • Assist loan officers to ensure members are being serviced as needed.
  • Communicate with Commercial Loan Officers and Underwriters throughout the annual review process.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Requires at least 2 years of loan underwriting experience, in consumer, mortgage or commercial lending, or other similar experience. Must have the ability to work under pressure and organize tasks for optimal performance. Requires excellent organizational, communication and relationship building skills.


Performance Standard:

Must take pride in department by processing loans in a timely and efficient manner with a high attention to detail. Must be professional and courteous in manner, with a focus on attendance, quality and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.


Physical Requirements:

  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
