Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Roofing Sales Representative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales, commercial roofing, and service/maintenance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive business growth, build lasting client relationships, and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial roofing sector. Utilize various methods such as cold calling, networking events, and referrals to build a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all roofing needs. Regularly communicate with clients to understand their evolving requirements and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the benefits of our roofing solutions and services. Tailor presentations to address specific client needs and concerns.
  • Site Inspections and Assessments: Conduct thorough on-site inspections of commercial properties to assess roofing needs, identify potential issues, and recommend appropriate solutions. Prepare detailed reports and proposals based on these assessments.
  • Proposal Development: Create comprehensive, professional proposals that outline recommended roofing solutions, project timelines, and cost estimates. Ensure all proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client requirements.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with clients, addressing any concerns or objections, and working towards mutually beneficial agreements. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all contractual obligations can be met.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and installation teams to ensure smooth execution of roofing projects. Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to address any issues or concerns that arise during project implementation.
  • Service and Maintenance Sales: Promote and sell ongoing maintenance and service contracts to both new and existing clients. Educate clients on the importance of regular maintenance in extending the life of their roofing systems.
  • Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, new roofing technologies, and competitor offerings. Use this knowledge to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project statuses. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends for management review.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in commercial roofing materials, installation techniques, and industry regulations. Attend training sessions, workshops, and industry conferences to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful experience in outside sales, preferably in the commercial roofing or construction industry
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation processes
  • Experience in service and maintenance
