Role Overview
The Commercial Sector Head is a strategic and results-driven leadership role responsible for spearheading Connect Money’s business development, account management, and revenue generation efforts across specific high-impact verticals (e.g., retail, fuel, trade, insurance, gig economy, platforms, etc.).
This role owns the full client lifecycle—from lead generation and proposal building to deal closure, implementation oversight, and post-launch account growth. The Sector Manger plays a pivotal role in translating sector needs into tailored financial solutions by aligning closely with internal teams and external decision-makers.
This position is central to Connect Money’s growth roadmap and market expansion strategy in Egypt and other regional markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Generation & Sector Growth

Lead business development and sales pipeline generation across assigned sectors.

Own and manage end-to-end sales cycle: lead qualification, pitch, proposal, negotiation, and closure.

Convert high-value opportunities through consultative selling and deep understanding of sector-specific pain points

Ensure both new and recurring revenue targets are met or exceeded.

Provide strategic insights to enhance sector positioning and align with Connect Money’s overall commercial goals.
2. Account Management & Client Success

Act as the primary account owner for all clients within the assigned sector.

Conduct quarterly business reviews to evaluate performance, usage, and growth opportunities.

Proactively drive upsell, cross-sell, and renewal activities to grow account value.

Serve as the trusted advisor and escalation point for clients post-launch.

Coordinate with service delivery, operations, and CVM teams to maintain high client satisfaction and operational excellence.
3. Sector Strategy & Market Expansion

Identify key trends and emerging opportunities within the sector to fuel future growth.

Build a deep understanding of sector-specific regulatory, operational, and business dynamics.

Develop go-to-market strategies and tailored value propositions for each use case.

Foster strategic partnerships and alliances that strengthen Connect Money’s sector footprint.
4. Internal Collaboration & Enablement

Work closely with presales and CVM teams to craft personalized proposals and campaigns.

Collaborate with the Service Delivery team to ensure timely and seamless project execution.

Provide sector insights to product, marketing, and strategy teams to inform roadmaps and narratives.

Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing within the commercial team.
5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Define and track key commercial and account KPIs (revenue, retention, activation, growth).

Regularly report on pipeline, sector trends, and client portfolio performance.

Implement data-driven strategies to improve conversion rates and client lifetime value.

Ensure CRM tools and reporting systems are up-to-date with accurate pipeline and account data.
Profile Requirements

6+ years of experience in business development, account management, or commercial leadership within fintech, SaaS, telecom, B2B2C platforms, or embedded finance.

Proven track record of closing complex deals and managing enterprise accounts end-to-end.

Strategic thinker with strong sector insight and a consultative selling mindset.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence internal and external stakeholders at senior levels.

Ability to operate independently, drive initiatives, and manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.

Fluent in English and Arabic; experience with regional clients is a plus.
