Commercial Service Estimator

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Commercial Estimator, you will play a crucial role in determining the cost structure of potential commercial projects. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional who can develop accurate estimates based upon plans and specifications while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the project’s financial success.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Customer Service - maintain relationships with existing customers and develop relationships with new customers.
• Estimate commercial projects and compile cost estimates and bids utilizing company provided software and resources.
• Derive project budgets from cost estimates on awarded projects.
• Estimate change orders and scope changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support Operations throughout the entire project timeline.

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for new construction, re-roof and sheet metal projects as assigned.
• Generate complete cost-estimates for assigned projects utilizing company software and resources.
• Submit bids and budgets to clients utilizing company-standard templates or customer directed “bid forms” by the bid due date.

• Inspect commercial roofs and determine if the roof can be repaired or if replacement is required. Upload all photos and information to our database program.
• Complete estimates and written proposals for repair work or existing roofs & respond to customer within 48 hours.

• At project award, provide detailed scope of work and budget information to the production or maintenance department for accepted proposals.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Take off and prepare costs estimates and budgets for proposed change orders and support operations in submitting to clients.
• Participate in regular sales, production and job site meetings.

• The physical requirements would be the ability to climb a ladder/stairs to access roofs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Must be familiar with commercial roofing systems (single ply, metal roofing, metal wall panels, shingle roofing, soffit, gutter, etc.).

Construction, roofing or other technical experience preferred.
Must have the ability to bid projects using plans and specifications.

Licensures and Certifications: Valid drivers license is required.

Education: High School Mandatory – College construction management program preffered
