About the Role
Maintain-It LLC is hiring independent Commercial Service Technicians for ongoing commercial repair work. You’ll handle small-to-medium repairs including:
- Doors, closers, panic bars, hinges, locks
- Roll-up doors (big plus)
- Dock levelers (big plus)
- Minor plumbing: toilets, faucets, leaks
- Basic electrical troubleshooting
- Ceiling tiles, drywall patches, hardware installs
- General light maintenance
Work is dispatched through our mobile app. You’ll upload photos and notes to close out each job. This role requires rotating weekend on-call, with paid call-out rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and complete light-to-medium commercial repair tasks
- Adjust/install commercial door hardware and entry systems
- Work on dock levelers and roll-up doors when needed (strongly preferred)
- Communicate job status and upload clear before/after photos
- Pick up approved materials using your fuel/materials card
- Maintain a professional attitude at retail and commercial sites
Requirements
- 2+ years in commercial maintenance, handyman work, or door hardware
- Strong plus:
- Dock leveler repair/maintenance
- Roll-up door installation/service
- Reliable personal vehicle (SUV/truck preferred)
- Core tools: drill/impact, bits, Allen sets, punches, pliers/wrenches, level, PPE
- Comfortable working independently
- Ability to use a mobile app for documentation
- Able to participate in rotating weekend on-call
- Must pass a background check

Schedule
- Typically 40–60+ hours/week
- Monday–Friday regular work
- Rotating weekend on-call required (additional pay)
- Occasional after-hours calls (optional with bonus pay)
1099 Notice
This is an independent contractor role. You provide your tools/vehicle and invoice weekly. Fuel/materials card is for approved job use only.
