Job Title: Commis Chef (Immediate Joining)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our culinary team immediately. The ideal candidate will assist in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior chefs in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to company recipes and standards.
- Ensure that all food items are prepared in a timely manner and meet the required quality levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen and workstations at all times.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards as per company and local health regulations.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating supplies and ingredients properly.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Support the kitchen team in mise-en-place and other preparation tasks as needed.
- Work efficiently under pressure and maintain a positive, cooperative attitude.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or management.
Requirements:
- Immediate availability to join.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen (preferably hot kitchen).
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the culinary team.
