Job description

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of hot dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and portion sizes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hot kitchen section at all times.
  • Properly store ingredients and monitor stock levels to avoid wastage.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines strictly.
  • Assist in receiving and checking deliveries to ensure quality and proper storage.
  • Work closely with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Contribute ideas for menu development and special dishes when required.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all hot food items.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef de Partie or management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a professional hot kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hot kitchen techniques (grilling, roasting, sautéing, frying, braising, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of international and local cuisines.
  • Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices.
