Commi I / Pastry and Bakery

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread et. Following traditional and modern recipes

· Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customer

· Decorates pastries using different icings, toppings etc to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting

· Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour sugar etc and make appropriate orders within the budget

· During your time you are fully in charge for the food production.

· Daily controlling of production to make sure that standards are being met.

· Checking the setup of stations (a la carte or Buffet) are on time for each service period

· Conduct daily checks on the quality and freshness of products

· Monitor all aspects pertaining to the control of hotel’s food cost

· Ensure HACCP standards are implemented and follow the appropriate hygiene standards as per Municipality requirements at all times

· Checking the food rotation – first in – first out

· Check inventories to see proper storage and rotation of stock, quality of material, condition of equipment and devices used for cooking

· Check that all food items for storage are covered, labelled and dated

· Checking that after service equipment, work surfaces and working area is clean

· Make sure “Clean as you go” is always first priority

· Will sign acceptance of tools, uniforms, knives, etc and will pay back to the company for any damage or loss

· Checking the appropriate temperature log sheets filled out according to standard

· Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel

· Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED1,400.00 per month
