Job Description

Join our culinary team at Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha as a Commis 1 specializing in Indian cuisines. We're looking for a passionate and dedicated entry-level chefs to assist in the preparation and presentation of authentic Indian and Arabic dishes in our bustling kitchen.

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for Indian and Arabic dishes
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques as directed by senior chefs
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
• Assist in the plating and presentation of dishes
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation
• Participate in kitchen inventory and stock rotation
• Learn and adapt to new culinary techniques and recipes
• Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods

Qualifications

• Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification
• Food safety certification
• Basic culinary skills with a focus on Indian and Arabic cuisines
• Proficiency in knife skills and kitchen equipment operation
• Knowledge of Indian and Arabic ingredients and cooking techniques
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with good communication skills
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Basic English language proficiency
• Passion for culinary arts and eagerness to learn
