Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking (e.g. chopping vegetables, cutting meat, preparing sauces).
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and help in cooking/preparing menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Ensure food items are properly stored and labelled.
- Comply with all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and deliveries.
- Support the kitchen team in daily operations and service.
- Learn and develop skills in various sections of the kitchen.
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Passion for food and willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques.
- Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary school diploma or certificate (preferred but not required).
- Basic food hygiene or safety certification is an advantage.
