Key Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating under the guidance of senior chefs
- Ensure all mise-en-place is prepared and stored correctly before each service period
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards in assigned work areas
- Follow hotel policies and kitchen SOPs related to safety, food handling, and equipment usage
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Attend daily briefings, training sessions, and team meetings to stay updated on menu changes and operational goals
- Report any maintenance, guest feedback, or quality issues promptly to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
- Support special culinary projects, events, and banquets as needed
- Maintain portion control and reduce food waste in line with cost and sustainability goals
