he Commis III is an entry-level kitchen position responsible for basic food preparation, assisting senior chefs, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen. This role is ideal for fresh or junior culinary staff starting their professional kitchen career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in basic food preparation (washing, peeling, cutting vegetables, meats, etc.)
  • Support Commis I & II and Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Follow standard recipes and portion controls under supervision
  • Ensure proper storage of food items (FIFO method)
  • Maintain hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP compliance)
  • Dispose of waste properly and keep kitchen areas organized
  • Assist in mise en place before service
  • Perform any other duties assigned by senior chefs

Requirements:

  • Basic culinary knowledge or kitchen experience preferred
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good hygiene and discipline standards
  • Ability to follow instructions strictly
  • Team player with positive attitude
  • Physically fit for kitchen duties
