Safir Doha Hotel is a well-established 4-star property known for delivering warm hospitality and exceptional dining experiences. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Commis Chefs to join our culinary team.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Perform daily mise-en-place and maintain organized workstations.
- Prepare ingredients, salads, appetizers, and basic hot dishes.
- Follow standard recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP).
- Assist in buffet setup, banquet operations, and À la carte service when required.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Support kitchen operations during peak hours and special events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as Commis I/II in hotels or restaurants (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Education & Certification
- Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent (preferred).
- Food Safety or HACCP training is an advantage.
