Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our culinary team. The Commis Chef will assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen standards, and support senior chefs in delivering high-quality dishes. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about cooking and eager to develop their skills in a professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Ensure all ingredients are properly measured, prepared, and stored.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Support in receiving and checking deliveries to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Learn and apply culinary techniques, recipes, and plating standards.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
- Uphold consistency and quality in all dishes served.
Qualifications & Skills
- Basic culinary training or relevant kitchen experience preferred.
- Strong passion for food and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
