Core Responsibilities
* Stock and organize raw materials and ingredients for daily kitchen operations
* Master essential cooking techniques and prepare mise-en-place for assigned station
* Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines to reduce waste and ensure consistency
* Operate kitchen equipment safely while adhering to hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP)
* Maintain cleanliness and order of workstations and equipment throughout the shift
* Report maintenance issues and safety hazards promptly to the kitchen supervisor
* Participate in regular briefings, trainings, and departmental meetings
* Support kitchen team in delivering food of high quality, presentation, and taste
Candidate Requirements
* High school diploma required; culinary diploma is a plus
* 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a busy kitchen or hotel food outlet
* Understanding of food preparation techniques and sanitation practices
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
* Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
* Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long hours
* Willingness to work various shifts, weekends, and public holidays
* Passionate about culinary arts and continuous improvement
* Familiarity with kitchen inventory systems and basic computer use
