We are looking for a passionate and skilled Commis I – Pastry to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked items according to standard recipes
- Assist in daily pastry kitchen operations
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory control
- Support senior chefs in menu preparation and new recipe development
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commis I or similar role in pastry section
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of food safety standards
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Culinary certification or diploma is an advantage
