commis I - pastry

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Commis I – Pastry to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked items according to standard recipes
  • Assist in daily pastry kitchen operations
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory control
  • Support senior chefs in menu preparation and new recipe development

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Commis I or similar role in pastry section
  • Basic knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of food safety standards
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Culinary certification or diploma is an advantage
